Chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-ruled states are set to be briefed next week on Operation Sindoor — India’s recent military strikes targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
According to sources familiar with the matter, leaders from several NDA-governed states, including poll-bound Bihar, will be in the national capital on May 25. During their visit, they are expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a detailed discussion on the strikes and the subsequent ceasefire announced on Saturday.
Following the Prime Minister's late-night address to the nation, NDA allies voiced strong support for the government's decisive military response. The strikes were launched in retaliation for the terrorist attack that took place on April 22 in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader N. Chandrababu Naidu praised the Prime Minister’s address, calling it a statement that redefined India’s defence doctrine.
“His address was a stern warning to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists and a clear message of strength to the world. It’s Buddha Purnima today, and we remember the path to peace. But, as history teaches us, lasting peace is secured through strength. We walk the path to peace, but we also practice zero tolerance towards terrorism,” Naidu said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Naidu also lauded India’s indigenous defence capabilities, stating that the success of the operation demonstrated the country’s readiness for modern warfare and instilled pride among all Indians.
Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan also welcomed the Prime Minister’s message. In his post on X, Paswan asserted that future dialogue with Pakistan would be centered solely on terrorism and PoK.
“The Prime Minister has also made it clear that if there will be any talks with Pakistan in the future, then the talks will be only on terrorism and PoK. India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. India will launch a precise and decisive attack on the terrorist bases flourishing under the guise of nuclear blackmail,” he said.
Meanwhile, beginning today, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a 10-day Tiranga Yatra across the country. The campaign aims to highlight the achievements of the armed forces during the recent military operations.
As part of this national outreach programme, the BJP will provide details about the damage inflicted on terrorist infrastructure, emphasizing how key terror bases were destroyed in the strikes.
