President Murmu opens Amrit Udyan Summer edition 2024

President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Summer Annual Edition of Amrit Udyan on Wednesday, marking the beginning of its public viewing season. The garden, formerly known as the Mughal Garden, will be open to visitors from August 16 to September 15, 2024. Opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last entry allowed at 5:15 PM. The garden will be closed on Mondays for maintenance.

Droupadi Murmu Opens Amrit Udyan for Summer 2024 Viewing.


President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Summer Annual Edition of Amrit Udyan on Wednesday, marking the beginning of its public viewing season. The garden, formerly known as the Mughal Garden, will be open to visitors from August 16 to September 15, 2024. Opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last entry allowed at 5:15 PM. The garden will be closed on Mondays for maintenance.

 

Special dates include August 29, dedicated to sports persons for National Sports Day, and September 5, set aside for teachers in celebration of Teachers’ Day. Entry to the garden is free but requires prior registration.

 

Visitors can book their slots online through the Rashtrapati Bhavan website. There are also self-service kiosks available outside Gate No. 35 for walk-in registrations.

 

Access to Amrit Udyan is through Gate No. 35, located near North Avenue Road. A free shuttle bus service from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 will be provided to assist visitors.

 

Amrit Udyan spans 15 acres and includes the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. This iconic garden is situated on the grounds of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

 

On August 10, President Murmu received the Grand Collar of the Order of Timor-Leste, the highest civilian honour from Timor-Leste, during her tour of Fiji, New Zealand, and Timor-Leste. In Fiji, she was also honoured with the 'Companion of the Order of Fiji', recognizing the strong friendship between the nations.
