Ramesh Bidhuri sparks outrage with 'deer remark' on Atishi.

Senior BJP leader and candidate from Delhi’s Kalkaji, Ramesh Bidhuri, has sparked controversy with a comment aimed at Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. During a rally in the national capital, Bidhuri made remarks comparing Atishi’s public appearances to a deer roaming the streets.

In his speech, Bidhuri said that the people of Delhi have endured poor conditions in the city. He criticised the state of the streets and accused Atishi of neglecting public engagement over the last four years.

He claimed that her recent activity was merely election-driven, adding, "Now, like a deer running in the forest, Atishi is roaming the streets of Delhi as the elections approach."

Bidhuri, a former BJP MP, made these remarks while addressing supporters in Kalkaji. The comments have drawn attention for their tone and language, which many consider inappropriate and demeaning.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has yet to issue an official response to Bidhuri’s statements. Atishi, a prominent figure in the AAP and known for her focus on education and public welfare, has been a key face of the party’s campaign efforts in the city.

The remarks come amidst heightened political activity in Delhi as candidates from various parties engage with voters ahead of the upcoming elections.

With issues like infrastructure and governance being central to the campaigns, such comments have shifted focus to the rhetoric used by political leaders during public addresses.

Political Experts note now that such controversial remarks could divert attention from critical issues affecting Delhi residents. Political analysts believe that these kinds of comments could impact the tone of political discourse during the election season.
