Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Amrit Udyan opens for visitors from February
Amrit Udyan, the famed garden of Rashtrapati Bhavan, will be open for public viewing from 2 February to 30 March. Featuring tulips, roses, and over 80 varieties of flowers, the garden will be accessible six days a week with special access days for various groups.

The famous Amrit Udyan, part of the Rashtrapati Bhavan estate, will be open for public viewing from Sunday, 2 February, until 30 March, the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced.
The garden will be accessible six days a week, from 10 am to 6 pm, with Mondays set aside for maintenance.
President Droupadi Murmu attended the inauguration of the Amrit Udyan Winter Annuals Edition 2025.
A statement released by the Rashtrapati Bhavan read: "The Amrit Udyan will open for public viewing from February 2 to March 30, 2025."
Walk-ins will also be allowed, with entry and exit from Gate No. 35 of the President's Estate, near the junction of North Avenue and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
A shuttle bus service will be available from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 every 30 minutes, between 9.30 am and 6 pm.
Visitors are permitted to carry mobile phones, electronic keys, handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants. The premises will also be equipped with drinking water, toilet facilities, and first aid stations along the visitor route.
This year's display will feature tulips, 140 varieties of roses, and over 80 other species of flowers.
The visitors' route will include the Bal Vatika, Plumeria Theme Garden, Bonsai Garden, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. Information about each display will be available through QR codes.
Special closures for the garden are scheduled on February 5 due to the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, February 20 and 21 during the Visitors' Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and March 14 on the occasion of Holi.

Special access
Special access days are also planned: on 26 March for persons with disabilities (Divyangjan), 27 March for defence, paramilitary and police personnel, 28 March for women and tribal women's self-help groups, and 29 March for senior citizens.
From 6 to 9 March, the Amrit Udyan will host the Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav, showcasing Southern India’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
In addition to the garden, visitors will be able to explore Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, open six days a week, from Tuesday to Sunday.
The popular Change of Guard ceremony takes place every Saturday, except on Gazetted holidays.

Opening days & timings
Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan will be open to the public from 2 February to 30 March 2025.
Visiting hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last entry at 5:15 PM.
The Gardens will remain closed on Mondays.
Special opening days are designated for diverse groups:
26 March 2025: Differently-abled persons
27 March 2025: Defence, paramilitary, and police personnel
28 March 2025: Women and tribal women's SHGs
29 March 2025: Senior citizens
Entry fee
Entry to the Gardens during Udyan Utsav is completely free.
Booking mechanism
Visitors can either pre-book their slots online or choose direct walk-in entry.
Walk-in visitors must register at the Information Centre or Self-Service Kiosks near Gate No. 35.
Online bookings are available on an hourly slot basis, with a maximum of 30 visitors per booking.
A mobile number is mandatory for online bookings.
Entry guidelines
Entry is through Gate No. 35 on North Avenue Road.
Visitors with online reservations must present a digital visitor pass along with a government-issued ID.
Arriving on time, as per the booked time slot, is essential.
Permitted and restricted items
Allowed items: Mobile phones, wallets, handbags, baby bottles, and umbrellas.
Restricted items: Eatables, tobacco products, backpacks, cameras, and video cameras.
Carrying arms and ammunition is strictly prohibited.
Visitors must follow all guidelines displayed at Gate No. 35.
