The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Delhi government will present 14 reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) on Tuesday, reviewing the performance of the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) administration.
This will take place on the second day of the three-day Delhi assembly session.
According to reports, these audits—previously withheld by the AAP—cover key areas such as financial management, public health, transport, liquor supply, and air pollution control. Some of the key reports include:
- State Finances Audit Reports (2021, 2022, and 2023)
- Revenue, Economic, Social, and General Sectors & PSUs (2020-2021)
- Performance Audit on Air Pollution Mitigation (2021)
- Performance Audit on Children in Need of Care and Protection (2021)
- Audit on Liquor Supply
- Audit on Public Health Infrastructure & Health Services
- Audit on Delhi Transport Corporation
- Comptroller & Auditor General's Performance Report (2022)

Four of these reports focus on finance and appropriation accounts for 2021-22 and 2022-23.
In December last year, Delhi’s lieutenant governor, Vinai Kumar Saxena, criticised then-Chief Minister Atishi (now the Leader of Opposition) for not presenting these reports in the assembly. He had also called for a special session on December 19-20, emphasizing the government's constitutional responsibility to present audit reports.
Current Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, leading Delhi's first BJP government since 1998, has accused the AAP of misusing public funds, stating that the party must “account for every penny.”
The assembly session began on Monday, with Rekha Gupta, her 47 BJP colleagues, and 22 AAP members, including Atishi, taking their oaths as legislators in the 70-seat House.
