The Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) will hold a three-day coordination meeting in Jodhpur from September 5 to 7, amid speculation that a new BJP President could be finalised during the deliberations.
The high-profile meeting will bring together RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, the Sah Sarkaryavahs (joint general secretaries) and all members of the RSS National Executive committee, including the coordinators. All the heads of sub-organisations of the RSS, along with its members, are also scheduled to attend.
In addition, representatives from 32 organisations linked with the Sangh Parivar will participate in the gathering. These include the BJP, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Vanvasi Kalyan and Seva Samiti.
From the BJP, Party President JP Nadda, organisational head BL Santosh, and other senior leaders such as Sunil Bansal, Shivprakash, Saudan Singh and V Satish are expected to be present.

During the three-day meet, each organisation will present its one-year report. A range of contemporary issues, including the US trade tariffs, will also come up for discussion. Preparations for the RSS centenary year programmes are on the agenda as well.
According to sources, the name of the new BJP President is likely to be discussed, making this meeting particularly significant for the ruling party and its parent organisation.
Ahead of the Jodhpur meeting, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat will be in Delhi on August 26 and 28 at Vigyan Bhavan, where he is scheduled to interact with prominent personalities from different fields.
On August 28, Bhagwat will respond to questions submitted in writing over the two-day programme.
A similar outreach exercise was organised by the RSS at Vigyan Bhavan in September 2018.
