However, many fans continued to ask about the next episode of India's Got Latent, the show that was put on hold due to the ongoing controversy. “When is the new episode dropping?” was a frequent question among his followers.
The controversy surrounding India's Got Latent erupted after an FIR was filed against several people associated with the show, including Samay Raina, YouTubers Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahbadia, and others. The FIR was filed based on allegations of promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit discussions during the public YouTube show.
The backlash intensified after Ranveer Allahbadia made certain comments on air that many deemed insensitive. These remarks sparked widespread criticism, and the video quickly went viral, leading to a fierce online backlash. Social media users condemned the comments, further escalating the controversy.
In connection with the case, Samay appeared before the Guwahati Crime Branch for questioning about the allegations of promoting obscenity and vulgar content through India's Got Latent. Due to the ongoing legal issues, Samay also decided to reschedule his India tour, informing his fans on Instagram that ticket refunds would be provided.
