To further bolster safety, temporary police stations and checkpoints have been set up at strategic locations, including railway stations, bus terminals, airports, and other major transit routes. The state government has also ensured units will be kept on standby to handle emergencies.
The Uttar Pradesh government, in a statement issued on Sunday, highlighted its commitment to ensuring a safe and spiritually enriching experience for devotees.
Prayagraj, often referred to as Mahakumbh Nagar during the event, transforms into the epicentre of religious devotion as millions gather to take part in this sacred congregation.
With meticulous planning and multi-layered security arrangements, the state government aims to uphold the sanctity of the world’s largest religious festival.
