Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, upon taking his oath as a cabinet minister on Sunday, pledged his unwavering dedication to serving the nation and contributing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed country by 2047.
Sonowal, the former Chief Minister of Assam, stressed that the trust and faith the people have placed in Modi, resulting in his third consecutive term.
"Prime Minister Modi has been given another term due to the blessings of the people. His humility, sincerity, dedication, and farsightedness have earned him the nation's faith," Sonowal remarked.
Having been elected to the Lok Sabha from Dibrugarh, defeating his nearest rival by a significant margin of over 2.5 lakh votes, Sonowal expressed his gratitude to Modi for entrusting him with another opportunity to serve as a Union minister.
"I am deeply thankful to Prime Minister Modi for giving me this chance to serve the country. I will continue to serve with all sincerity and dedication, contributing to his dream of making India a developed nation by 2047," Sonowal stated.
He assured that he would leave no stone unturned in executing his responsibilities within the ministry.
"Whatever responsibility I am given, I will ensure it is carried out to the fullest extent," he added.
