The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force captivated spectators with their breathtaking aerial manoeuvres over Hussain Sagar Lake on Sunday.
The air show was a part of the celebrations marking “Praja Palana – Praja Vijayotsavalu”, the first anniversary of the Congress government in Telangana, according to a post by the state Chief Minister’s Office on social media platform X.
Nine aircraft from the team executed a stunning display of precision aerobatics, including loops, rolls, crosses, and inverted flying. The performance left the audience in awe, with the team soaring high above the lake and waving the tricolour in the sky.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, accompanied by several cabinet ministers and other dignitaries, was present at the event, watching the enthralling show along with the general public.
Group Captain Ajay Dasarathi, the leader of the Surya Kiran team, addressed the crowd from the skies, expressing his gratitude to the city. “Thank you Hyderabad! Mee premaku shukhriya (meaning ‘thanks for your love’)!!” he said.
The air show was one of several events organised as part of “Praja Palana – Praja Vijayotsavalu”, commemorating the first anniversary of the Telangana Congress government.
