The government has announced the names of political leaders who will head seven all-party delegations for diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor, aimed at briefing partner nations on India’s response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor will lead a nine-member delegation to the United States, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, and Colombia, while Supriya Sule of the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) will head the delegation to Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
Other prominent figures include BJP MP Baijayant Panda, who will lead the delegation to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria, and Ravi Shankar Prasad, who will oversee a group visiting the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the European Union, Italy, and Denmark.
DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi will head the delegation to Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, and Russia. JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha will lead the group visiting Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Japan, and Singapore, while Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde will be responsible for the delegation to the UAE, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sierra Leone.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju said on Saturday, “The seven all-party delegations will soon engage key nations under Operation Sindoor, reflecting collective resolve against terrorism.”
