We will end anyone who dares to wipe our sisters' sindoor: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi being with others at a public meeting during the inauguration of Loco Manufacturing Shop and various development projects, in Dahod, Monday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing a rally in Dahod, Gujarat on Monday, launched a scathing attack on Pakistan, asserting that the neighbouring country exists solely on a foundation of hatred for India. He contrasted this with India’s vision of eliminating poverty and achieving economic development.

“Pakistan, which came into existence after Partition, survives only on hatred towards India. Their sole agenda is to harm Bharat,” said the Prime Minister. “In contrast, our nation is moving forward with clear goals — to remove poverty, accelerate economic growth, and become a fully developed country.”

The Prime Minister was speaking after launching multiple development projects worth ₹24,000 crore in the region, including a major locomotive manufacturing plant. The event also saw the inauguration of new train services, including the Ahmedabad-Veraval Vande Bharat Express and the Valsad-Dahod Express. Modi informed the crowd that Vande Bharat trains are now operational on 70 different routes across the country, showcasing India’s technological and infrastructural progress.

PM Modi also praised India’s retaliatory military strike—Operation Sindoor—conducted in the early hours of May 7, following a deadly terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The attack had claimed the lives of 26 Indian nationals. In response, Operation Sindoor inflicted substantial damage on terror infrastructure located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Referring to the counter-terror operation, the Prime Minister issued a stern warning, declaring, “Those daring to wipe off the sindoor of our sisters must know their end is near.” The statement was met with loud applause from the audience and underscored the government's hardline stance against terrorism and cross-border attacks.

Further emphasising the importance of self-reliance, Modi urged citizens to use and promote Indian-made products during major festivals such as Holi, Diwali, and Ganesh Puja. “Everything we need for our country’s progress must be made right here in India,” he said, reinforcing the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

He reiterated that his government’s policies are focused on inclusive development, particularly targeting regions that have historically remained backward and underserved.
