The Congress party faced an unexpected controversy in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, after a video allegedly showing Yunus Chaudhary, the Congress District President of Baghpat, in an inappropriate situation went viral. In the video, Chaudhary appears to be exposing himself and making unwelcome advances toward a woman who visibly resists. The woman can be heard urging him to stop, expressing her discomfort and fear of her mother’s arrival.
Following the video’s spread online, Congress leaders quickly responded. Chaudhary, however, denied the allegations, claiming the video was doctored by political opponents seeking to tarnish his reputation.
He has verbally requested police involvement to identify those responsible for circulating the video, although he has yet to file an official complaint.
Congress officials, meanwhile, moved swiftly to address the situation. The state president released a letter announcing Chaudhary’s immediate removal from his post as district president, marking the party's stance against such behaviour.
Party members in Baghpat have largely refrained from commenting, with some claiming they were unaware of the video and indicating that an internal investigation is necessary to clarify the incident before further action.
Despite Chaudhary’s denial, the video has led to widespread public backlash, with many questioning the lack of immediate legal action. Authorities have yet to receive an official complaint regarding the video.

A police official stated, “There is no information about any obscene video involving the Congress leader. If a complaint is filed, we will take necessary action following an investigation.”
