Famous YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps once again is in the spotlight but this time for his remarks regarding the ongoing India-Pakistan tension. Ranveer recently appeared on British TV host Piers Morgan's show, of which the videos are on the social media platforms.
Ranveer, who took part in a debate alongside Pakistan’s Shehzad Ghias Shaikh, held up a photo of Osama bin Laden and a viral image purportedly showing Pakistani military personnel attending the funeral of terrorists who were killed during India's Operation Sindoor. Hafiz Abdur Rauf's presence - a globally designated terrorist and brother of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar - at the funeral exposes the long-established nexus between the Pakistani military and terrorist groups.
With Laden's photo in his hands, Ranveer said, "He was found 800 metres from a military base in Pakistan. That's the face the world recognises."
"This is the face that India recognises. This man is a UN-designated terrorist being celebrated by the Pakistani military in the background. That's not the narrative the Pakistanis give, or the world knows. But if you check with the UN or US, they will tell you this is Abdul Rauf. We export vaccines, philosophy, engineers, and leaders to the world. That's why our economy is 11 times that of Pakistan," said the YouTuber while holding another image of Hafiz Abdur Rauf.
A few days before appearing at Piers Morgan's show, Ranveer shared an Instagram post on India-Pakistan's ongoing conflict and later deleted it after facing backlash.
What was Ranveer's post about?
He wrote, "Dear Pakistani Brothers & Sisters, I will get hate from many Indians for this, but it is important to be said. Just like many Indians, I don't have hate in my heart for you. Many of us want peace as well. Whenever we meet Pakistanis, you invariably welcome us with love. But...your country is not run by a government. It is run by your military and your secret service (The ISI)."
"The average Pakistani is VERY different than these 2 bodies. The average Pakistani has dreams of peace & prosperity in their hearts. These 2 villains have hurt your economy since independence. They have also constantly been responsible for terrorist attacks in India. Proofs in the next slide...," the post further states.
"Proof 1: All terrorist that have been caught over the years are originally from Pakistan. Proof 2: Your military leaders attended the state funeral held by Hafiz Abdur Rauf, brother of the Jaish-E-Mohammed chief. Proof 3: Your defense minister Khawaja Asif recently admitted to the state sponsored terrorism on Sky News. But I care about YOU, not them."
"Dil se sorry agar lagra hai ki hum nafrat faila rahe hai. The Indian who have met Pakistanis, UNDERSTAND you. But both Indian & Pakistani media (news channels) are currently spreading lies. Most of our populations want peace for the innocents near the border. But India also wants to end Pak Military & ISI's state sponsored terrorism."
"Ek final cheez... This is not: Indian People vs Pakistani People. This is: India vs Pakistani Military & ISI. Hope peace prevails in the long term, Inshallah."
Although the post was deleted but by the time the screenshots of it were all over the social media, prompting sharp reactions from not only from the netizens but from the veterans too, landing Ranveer into another controversy.
Some users have said that it does not matter even if Ranveer appeared on Morgan's show presenting facts; it is about the post where he shared his thoughts about the conflict.
