An FIR has been filed against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi for violating the model code of conduct ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The FIR accuses Atishi of using a government vehicle for personal purposes.
The complaint states that after the Delhi elections were announced on January 7, a Public Works Department (PWD) government vehicle was allegedly used to deliver election campaign materials to the AAP's election office.
KS Duggal, a resident of Kalkaji, filed a separate complaint with the Govindpuri SHO about the matter. In response, the returning officer instructed the police to take immediate action against South-East Divisional Executive Engineer Sanjay Kumar.
Atishi, who represents the Kalkaji constituency, has been renominated for the seat. The BJP has fielded former MP Ramesh Bidhuri as their candidate from Kalkaji in the 2025 Delhi polls.
