Indian golfer Diksha Dagar carded a steady even-par 72 in the third round to remain firmly within the top 10 at the Tenerife Women’s Open at the Abama Golf course. At five-under after three rounds, she stands ninth on the leaderboard, just three strokes behind Czech leader Sara Kouskova.
Kouskova, who won the Jabra Ladies Open last week, shot a three-under 69 to climb to eight-under and take a one-shot lead into the final round. She dropped only a single shot on the 12th hole and registered birdies on the sixth, 11th, 14th, and 17th.
Diksha, who began her day with a birdie on the opening hole, faltered on the sixth and eighth but regained composure on the back nine. She picked up shots on the 10th and 16th, offsetting a bogey on the 13th to keep her bid for a strong finish alive.

The other Indian to make the cut, Avani Prashanth, experienced a topsy-turvy round. Starting from the back nine, she opened with successive birdies on the 10th and 11th before succumbing to a double bogey on the 16th. She endured another double bogey on the first hole, but fought back with birdies on the third and sixth. A bogey on the seventh and a final birdie on the eighth saw her complete the round at level-par, placing her 43rd overall.
Shannon Tan of Singapore is tied second with Spain’s Ana Pelaez Trivino and Finland’s Noora Komulainen. Tan posted a 72, while Pelaez and Komulainen shot 66 and 69 respectively, trailing Kouskova by one.
Mimi Rhodes, who leads the order of merit, carded a three-under 69 to move into a tie for 10th along with Patricia Isabel Schmidt and Lauren Walsh. The latter, who led after two rounds, endured a poor outing with a five-over 77, dropping out of contention.
