After facing back-to-back delays, Gulmarg is set to host the second leg of the 5th Khelo India Winter Games from March 9 to 12, officials said on Monday.
The announcement has come following a fresh snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir that has brought major relief to event organisers.
Earlier, the event was likely to commence on February 23-28; however, due to a deficit in snowfall, the event was postponed by the authorities.
An official said that the event will feature over 300 athletes from across the country, competing in various winter sports, including alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering, and snowboarding.
He said that all necessary arrangements have been finalised, ensuring a seamless experience for athletes and visitors alike.
