India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli’s Instagram account became the talk of town on Thursday, when it seems to have mysteriously disappeared. His fans heaved a sigh of relief when it was restored on Friday, although conspiracy theories raged unbound about the reasons of the account going down.
While there’s been no official confirmation from Kohli or his management team, many believe the account may have disappeared because of a technical glitch. Kolhi is followed by more than 274 million people on Instagram.
The sudden blackout sure sparked a frenzy among his fans, with social media platforms overflowing with reactions – from worried messages to memes.
What’s equally surprising is that Virat’s brother Vikas Kohli’s Instagram profile was also found to be deactivated around the same time, and still remains inactive.
