A tragic accident claimed the life of a 42-year-old man in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district on Thursday, when a truck overturned onto a parked car following a collision with another vehicle.
The incident occurred near Bathri village in the Haroli area, along the Una-Garhshankar road, police said.
According to officials, the truck lost control after colliding with another truck and overturned onto a car that was parked by the roadside. Deepak Kumar, a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, who was inside the car at the time, died on the spot.
The two truck drivers involved in the collision—Jasvir Singh and Gurbaksh Singh, both also from Jalandhar—sustained minor injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.
Una Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh confirmed the incident and said that an investigation is underway. The body of the deceased has been sent for post-mortem.
