Seven people, including three students from National Law University (NLU) Jodhpur, died in two separate road accidents in Rajasthan’s Nagaur district on Tuesday, police said.
The first accident occurred around 5:30 am when a sleeper bus collided head-on with a truck near Laldasji Mahraj Dham. Three students lost their lives, and eight others were injured.
Circle Officer Jayal Khema Ram Bijarniya said the students were returning to Jodhpur from Patiala, Punjab, after attending a sports event. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital, and those with minor injuries received primary treatment.
The deceased students were identified as Aarushi Gupta from New Delhi, Harshit Vashistha from Chennai, and Aarav Middha from Kolkata. An injured student mentioned that they had traveled to Patiala for a sports competition.
In another accident in the district, a car overturned, killing four relatives and injuring two others. The deceased were identified as Relantram, Sushil, Mahendra, and Mehraram. Station House Officer Suresh Kumar said the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
