The roof of a room at the Dargah Sharif Patte Shah, located near Delhi's Humayun's Tomb complex, collapsed on Friday, killing six people. Following the incident, a total of 12 individuals were rescued from the debris and transported to nearby hospitals. Most of the victims were visitors to the dargah.
According to a statement from the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Southeast, nine people—three men, five women, and a four-year-old boy—were taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. Additionally, one man was admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital, and one woman was taken to Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. One woman who was rescued from the collapse was uninjured and did not require hospitalisation.

The DCP confirmed that six of the victims, three males and three females, have died. Speaking to mediapersons, the DCP provided further details on five of the deceased, two males aged 79 and 35 and three females aged 42, 40, and 40. The collapse occurred while people were inside the room for Friday prayers, with heavy rainfall being cited as the cause of the structural failure.

Upon receiving the distress call, Delhi Police, fire services, and NDRF officials were dispatched to the scene to conduct rescue operations. The police have since announced that the rescue operation has been called off.
While the police stated that 10 to 12 victims were rescued, a report specified that 11 people were taken to nearby hospitals, including AIIMS and Lok Nayak Hospital, for treatment. The Delhi Police were quoted by mediapersons as saying, "Eleven people have been rescued from the site of the incident and taken to a nearby hospital. The search operation is still underway," though the operation was later called off.
