Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from South Assembly seat in Ludhiana, Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina, was injured in a road accident in Haryana on Wednesday.
The accident happened near the Khanauri border when her car hit a divider, causing injuries to her face. She was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Kaithal.
The incident took place after she returned from a conference in the United States and landed at Delhi airport the night before. Her husband, son, gunman, and driver had gone to receive her. While returning from the airport in the morning, a motorcycle suddenly appeared in front of her car, causing the car to lose control and crash into the divider. The motorcyclist was also injured in the accident and was hospitalised.
After initial treatment in Kaithal, MLA Chhina was referred to a hospital in Ludhiana for further care.
