The two-day Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 concluded on 26 February with investment and infrastructure proposals amounting to Rs 4.91 lakh crore across multiple sectors, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced.
"Advantage Assam 2 has successfully concluded today. The two-day summit witnessed record investment and infrastructure proposals worth ₹4,91,500 crore. My gratitude to all the industrialists who have reposed their faith in Assam and its policies guided by the visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji," Sarma stated in a post on X.
The summit witnessed participation from leading industrialists, including Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, both of whom pledged investments of Rs 50,000 crore each.
Among the key agreements, the state government signed a Rs 3,000 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Virinchi Limited for the establishment of a 200 MW data centre.
Additionally, Virinchi Healthcare Private Limited entered a Rs 200 crore pact to develop a 500-bed super-speciality hospital.
The cement manufacturing sector received a substantial boost with Star Cements Ltd inking a Rs 3,200 crore agreement to set up a cement clinker and grinding plant through its subsidiary Star Cement North East Ltd.

In a significant step towards green energy development, the state government also signed an MoU worth Rs 1,500 crore with Matheson Hydrogen Pvt Ltd for the construction of a 95 KTPA hydrogen and steam generation plant.
Meanwhile, UltraTech Cement committed Rs 700 crore towards the establishment of a grinding unit and cement-bulk terminal, while Copper Plus Holdings SAC pledged Rs 1,000 crore for mining exploration and services.
The tourism sector saw promising investment with Tamara Leisure Experiences Private Limited announcing a Rs 275 crore investment to build a five-star eco-resort in Kaziranga, aimed at boosting Assam’s tourism industry.
Varun Beverages Limited confirmed a Rs 510 crore investment for a manufacturing plant focused on carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, and fruit pulp-based beverages, marking an expansion of its operations in the state.
Expressing gratitude for the continued support from industrialists, Sarma posted on X, "Grateful to all industry leaders for their continued trust and confidence in the Assam Growth Story."
On the opening day, 164 MoUs were signed across 15 sectors, involving key domestic investors such as the Adani Group, Tata Power, JSW Energy, Oil India Limited (OIL), ONGC, and NRL.
The summit also witnessed international collaborations, with four non-financial MoUs signed. These included a partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support developmental initiatives in health and agriculture.
Further international engagement included an MoU with Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry to enhance cooperation in nursing talent skills.
Furthermore, ASEAN One Co Ltd of Japan agreed to establish a skill training institute, while Spice Lemon announced plans for a Japanese language institute in the state.
