The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and National General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal.

The Congress central leadership held a high-level meeting with senior Jharkhand Congress leaders at Indira Bhavan in New Delhi, issuing clear organisational and political directives aimed at maintaining discipline, improving coordination and strengthening grassroots outreach in the state.

The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and National General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal.

During the discussion, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge advised dissatisfied MLAs not to approach the central leadership in Delhi over every issue.

He directed that grievances and complaints should be raised with the state Congress in-charge and at the state level. Kharge also instructed ministers from the Congress quota in the Hemant Soren government to regularly listen to party workers and legislators and address their concerns.

Rahul Gandhi, while interacting with the Jharkhand leadership, emphasised the need for stronger grassroots engagement. He directed the state leadership to launch village-level outreach programmes to educate people about the PESA Act and the PESA Rules framed by the alliance government.

Stressing the importance of coalition politics in Jharkhand, he asked leaders to move forward in coordination with alliance partners.

The central leadership also addressed internal differences within the Jharkhand Congress.

Rahul Gandhi advised ministers to accommodate differing views within the party and urged MLAs to avoid making frequent media statements or issuing controversial remarks that could harm the party’s image.

The meeting made it clear that there would be no immediate changes in the Congress quota ministers in the state government and that organisational issues should be resolved internally through party mechanisms.

The meeting was attended by Jharkhand Congress in-charge K Raju, state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, Congress ministers, Legislature Party leader Pradeep Yadav, deputy leader Rajesh Kachhap, MPs Sukhdeo Bhagat and Kalicharan Munda, former state president Rajesh Thakur and Pradeep Balmuchu.
