J&K’s Bhaderwah is abuzz with massive tourist fall after the recent heavy snowfall in the region transformed it into a winter wonderland.
The scenic destination has witnessed a surge in visitors, boosting local tourism and winter activities following the restoration of the Bhaderwah-Basholi-Pathankot National Highway.
The tourists visiting Bhaderwah in Jammu and Kashmir are fascinated by its pristine snowfall, with many describing the experience as a dream come true.
Families and tourists alike were seen enjoying the beautiful landscape, transforming into what many said looked like a “Bollywood film set.”
Additionally, the tourists engaged in snow fights while some others were seen capturing the landscape with their phones and cameras.
The joy and excitement are evident as visitors laugh, cheer, and soak in the winter wonderland experience. After witnessing its breathtaking snow-clad mountains and untouched beauty, visitors drew comparisons to popular winter destinations like Manali and Kasauli.
A tourist in Bhaderwah, while interacting with reporters, said, “I wanted to visit Kashmir, and everybody suggested that I come to Bhaderwah to watch the snow. I had only seen such a scenic place in movies, and today, I got to witness it. I am ecstatic after watching the snow.”
“A group of tourists from New Delhi said, ‘We wanted to travel to see Kashmir in the winter months, and it has been a very memorable trip as we saw snow falling in Sonamarg, Gulmarg, and now seeing the snow here has transformed Bhaderwah into a dreamland.’

The Bhaderwah-Basholi-Pathankot National Highway, also known as NH-44 (formerly NH-204), is a significant road connecting Bhaderwah in Jammu and Kashmir to Pathankot in Punjab, passing through Basholi.
This highway is a crucial link between the Jammu and Kashmir regions and the rest of India, facilitating transportation, trade, and tourism activities.
