Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said the BJP government in the state is deliberately harassing the unemployed youth as youth of the state have been forced to move court even to fill the CET forms.

“The government, which has been involved in scams and frauds in every recruitment so far, is now playing with the application of recruitment forms. During the last two tenures, candidates had to knock the doors of the court to get almost every recruitment completed. And now they have to approach the High Court to fill the CET form as well,” he said.

“The government sought applications for the Common Eligibility Test for Group-C posts, but due to the shutdown of the Saral portal, candidates were not able to get the certificates of Scheduled Caste, Backward Class and others. Therefore, candidates of reserved category were also forced to apply under the general category. In such a situation, the government itself should have corrected its portal system and extended the date of application for CET, but BJP never had the intention of giving jobs to the youth,” he added.

He said this is reason why the youth have to knock the doors of the High Court to fill the form. “The youth have demanded 15 days time for CET registration. Also, the candidates have raised questions on normalisation. They have said that instead of normalization, CET should be held in a single shift so that everyone gets the same paper,” he said.

Hooda has said this entire incident has exposed both the BJP's portal government and the recruitment process. “The Congress government had started online facilities. Its purpose was to make all government departments and services, including panchayats, online and provide facilities to the public at one click from home, but the BJP turned the entire system of these online services upside down. People have to make rounds of government offices even to get online work done. Still, these works are not completed on time, because the portals are down at the time of need,” he pointed out.

Hooda said CET is being deliberately delayed for years, and now when the process was opened up, a mistake was left in it as per a well thought out plan. “So, like always, the matter goes to the court and the government gets an excuse to put the recruitments on hold, and drag them till the elections,” he noted.

“This government has played the same game in the last 5 years. The result of the recruitments was deliberately withheld. Unemployed youth and their families were blackmailed and their votes were taken and now after forming the government the same game has been started again,” he added.
