Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of turning elections into a "mockery". Speaking at a rally in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader asserted that the people would remove the BJP from power because it has "stolen votes".
Stalin alleged that the deletion of the names of 65 lakh voters from Bihar's electoral rolls during the special intensive revision was "more dangerous than terrorism." He claimed that "Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal's Tejashwi Yadav have joined hands to protect democracy," and predicted that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance would be defeated in the upcoming assembly polls in Bihar.
Accusing the BJP of making the Election Commission its "puppet," Stalin said, "Rahul Gandhi has exposed the EC, but the poll panel did not respond to his charges. It asked him to file an affidavit... Rahul Gandhi won't be scared."
Earlier in the day, Stalin and DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi arrived in Bihar to join the Congress's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra.' After joining the yatra, Stalin posted on X, "Touchdown Bihar... the land of respected Lalu Prasad Ji greets me with fire in its eyes, the soil heavy with every stolen vote. Joined by my brothers Rahul Gandhi Jee, Tejashwi Yadav and sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' turns people's pain into unstoppable strength."
Meanwhile, BJP leader K Annamalai released a compilation of what he claimed were "uncouth remarks" made by DMK and its alliance leaders about the people of Bihar and North Indians. He challenged Stalin to repeat the comments while on stage with Rahul Gandhi in the northern state. The video clips included purported remarks from Stalin, his cabinet colleagues TRB Rajaa and KN Nehru, as well as senior DMK leaders and an ally.
