Punjabi University Patiala has a new Vice Chancellor as the Punjab Governor has officially appointed Dr. Jagdeep Singh to the position.
Dr Singh, who hails from Faridkot district, currently serves as the Registrar at the prestigious Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER). Prior to this, he held the position of Registrar at a Central University, bringing extensive administrative experience to his new role.
Dr Jagdeep Singh’s appointment continues the trend of leadership from IISER, as the previous Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University, Prof Arvind, was also on deputation from the same institution. With his strong academic and administrative background, Dr Singh is expected to contribute significantly to the growth and development of Punjabi University Patiala in the coming years.
