Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly polls, Sanjana Jadhav, daughter of senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, joined the Shiv Sena faction led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday.
Jadhav is expected to be the Shiv Sena's candidate for the Kannad Assembly seat in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
With the nomination deadline just two days away, former MP Rajendra Gavit and Vilas Tare also joined the Shiv Sena.
Shinde and former MLC Ravindra Phatak formally inducted them into the party.
Gavit, who supported Shinde’s 2022 rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray’s leadership, has been nominated by the Shiv Sena for the Palghar constituency.
The Shiv Sena released a list of 20 candidates for the upcoming election, scheduled for November 20, with vote counting set for November 23.
