Dense fog and severe cold weather have disrupted flight operations at Srinagar International Airport on Sunday. An official confirmed that poor visibility had forced authorities to suspend all operations, with at least 10 flights grounded.
The adverse weather conditions, with dense fog, have made both landings and take-offs hazardous for pilots. This disruption is not the first of its kind, as several flights were cancelled in the last week of December due to similar conditions.
Authorities have advised inbound and outbound passengers to check with their airlines for the latest updates before heading to the airport. They assured that the situation is being closely monitored.

Surface traffic has also been affected by the dense fog. The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Department issued an advisory for commuters on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
"Commuters are advised to strictly follow lane discipline to avoid causing unnecessary congestion on the highway," the advisory said.
Travellers have been urged to start their journey during daylight hours and avoid unnecessary stoppages between Ramban and Banihal Pass due to the risk of persistent landslides and shooting stones. The historic Mughal Road remains closed for an indefinite period.
