Police on Saturday reported that heavy snowfall has triggered snow slides and avalanches above Phase 1 in Gulmarg.
However, officials confirmed that there has been no loss of life or property, and no one has been reported missing so far.
SDPO Tangmarg told reporters that all individuals in the area are safe and accounted for. He urged media outlets to report responsibly and avoid spreading unnecessary panic regarding the situation.
Meanwhile, tourists and locals have been advised to exercise caution while venturing into avalanche-prone areas, as fresh snowfall has increased the risk of snow slides.
