Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu announced on Monday that the long-awaited Halwara airport project is now in its final stage of approval.
Sharing the update through a social media post, Bittu said a team from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) would soon visit Ludhiana to conduct a building clearance inspection of the Halwara airport.
“After years of hard work and a long wait for the people of Ludhiana, the dream of having an operational airport here is about to come true,” Bittu wrote. He said this step marks a significant milestone in improving Ludhiana’s air connectivity and would give a major boost to Punjab’s development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
