Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday spoke to Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini about the murder of Uttarakhand youth Sahil Bisht in Ambala. Dhami urged for the immediate arrest of the culprits and strict punishment.
CM Saini assured that the accused would not be spared. He said clear orders had been given to the police for quick action and promised every possible step would be taken by the Haryana government.
Expressing condolences to Bish’s family, Dhami said “The Uttarakhand government stands with Sahil’s family in their fight for justice and will extend all help.”
On August 13, 30-year-old Sahil Bisht from Tisriyada village in Patti Basar was brutally murdered in Ambala, reportedly during a robbery.
Earlier, on Tuesday, CM Dhami also presented a supplementary budget of ₹5,315 crore in the Assembly at Gairsain. He said the budget reflected the state’s resolve for sustainable, inclusive growth, innovation and economic strength.
The budget includes provisions for electricity tariff subsidies, health schemes, housing for policemen, welfare funds for martyrs and journalists, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and disaster management. Dhami said the focus was on farmers, workers, women, youth, and security forces, along with balancing ecology and economy.
Speaking of the supplementary budget, the Chief Minister said the supplementary budget of Rs 5,315 crore had been prepared by imbibing the mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas'.
"Our government has also given priority to disaster mitigation and environmental balance, so that there is a balance between 'ecology' and 'economy'. Effective budgetary provisions have been made for landslides, earthquake risk, spring mapping, and disaster relief," he further stated.
