Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday attended the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Panchkula, saluting the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers and celebrating the success of Operation Sindoor.

Addressing the public, the CM saluted the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation, and stated that the 'Tiranga Yatra' campaign celebrated the country's self-esteem and pride.

Addressing the gathering, CM Saini said, "I bow down to those soldiers who sacrificed their lives for this nation. This is the day of self-esteem, pride and courage for us...I pay my tributes to all those who lost their lives in this operation...This 'Tiranga Yatra' is to celebrate India's self-esteem and its pride. It is an expression of national consciousness, unity and respect," the CM said while addressing the public.

The BJP's Tiranga Yatra, being held from May 13 to May 23, is being coordinated by senior leaders, including Sambit Patra, BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde, and Tarun Chugh.

Prominent Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, and other senior party leaders will lead similar yatras across the country. According to sources, ex-servicemen, social workers, and noted public figures will also participate in the campaign.

As part of the outreach effort, the party plans to hold press conferences nationwide and engage social media influencers to communicate the strategic and national importance of Operation Sindoor to a wider audience.

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 as a high-precision military response to the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists. The operation targeted multiple terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating over 100 terrorists and hitting 11 airbases across Pakistan. The strikes, conducted across air, land, and sea domains, were executed with calibrated restraint, focusing on minimising civilian casualties while delivering a strong strategic message.
