Haryana Police has consistently demonstrated excellence in crime tracking, securing the top position 10 times in 2024 in the monthly rankings of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS), according to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The achievement was highlighted by Sibash Kabiraj, Director of the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB).
DGP applauds CCTNS team
Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Shatrujeet Kapur congratulated the CCTNS team for their outstanding performance, emphasising the significance of technological advancements in crime investigation. The CCTNS initiative aims to establish an integrated and efficient system for tracking criminals and enhancing investigative processes.
Since Kapur took charge as DGP in August 2023, the SCRB has undergone several technical improvements and procedural enhancements, leading to better performance in crime tracking and investigation.
Consistent excellence in rankings
Thanks to these improvements, Haryana Police has ranked first in the NCRB’s monthly evaluations 15 times in the last 17 months. The state police have excelled across multiple performance metrics used in the national rankings, reflecting their commitment to technological innovation in law enforcement.
In August and September 2024, Haryana Police secured the third position nationwide with a near-perfect score of 99.99%. In other months, the state achieved a flawless 100% score, reinforcing its position as a leader in criminal tracking and investigation.
This consistent top performance underscores Haryana Police’s dedication to leveraging advanced crime-tracking systems to enhance public safety and law enforcement efficiency.
