A senior RSS functionary on Wednesday said the expansion of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s work over the past year and its future plans will be reviewed at a three-day meeting of its top decision-making body in Samalkha, Haryana, starting March 13.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat as well as other senior Sangh leaders, BJP chief Nitin Nabin, and presidents and senior office-bearers of its 32 affiliated organisations, will attend the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS).

During a media briefing in Samalkha in Panipat district, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said the meeting will review the organisation’s activities during 2025–26 and present reports on key initiatives carried out in different regions. From the organisational point of view, the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha is the highest decision-making body of the RSS.

As this year marks the centenary of the RSS, the meeting will also include detailed discussions on major programmes and campaigns organised as part of the celebrations. These include the Grihasampark campaign, Hindu Sammelans, youth conferences, meetings of prominent citizens and social harmony gatherings. Ambekar said the RSS has reached out to over 10 crore households through the ‘Grihasampark’ campaign.

He said the Sangh’s activities expanded over the past year, with around 6,000 new ‘shakhas’ added. A detailed report on this growth will also be presented during the meeting.

Ambekar said discussions will also focus on ways to expand the Sangh’s work further and the initiatives proposed by the organisation, along with the role of public participation in these efforts. He said continuous efforts are being made to expand the reach and scope of the Sangh’s activities across the country.

The meeting will also discuss plans for Sangh Shiksha Vargs (training camps), Karyakarta Vikas Vargs (worker development courses) and other training programmes. The organisation’s action plan for the coming year will also be finalised.

The meeting will be attended by RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, senior office-bearers and members of the national executive body. Ambekar said a total of 1,487 karyakartas, including elected representatives and key office-bearers from different regions, will take part. In addition, the presidents, general secretaries and organising secretaries of 32 affiliated organisations will also attend the meeting.

Ambekar said many people have also connected with the RSS through virtual platforms. In January 2025, 16,192 people expressed interest in joining the organisation, while the number rose to 26,445 during January and February this year.

Referring to the upcoming 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas, he said that between February 2026 and February 2027, Sangh volunteers will organise programmes across the country focusing on his life, teachings and message.
