Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against senior Enforcement Directorate (ED) personnel at the SC/ST police station in Ranchi.
The move comes in response to the recent search operation conducted by the central probe agency at Soren's residence in Delhi.
Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kumar Sinha, confirmed the lodging of the FIR, stating, "An FIR has been lodged against some senior ED officials... we got the application from the chief minister."
The details of the FIR remain undisclosed at this time. The ED team, during their 13-hour search at Soren's Delhi residence on Monday, claimed to have seized Rs 36 lakh, an SUV, and several "incriminating" documents in connection to a money laundering case linked to an alleged land deal in Jharkhand.
Currently, Hemant Soren is undergoing questioning by ED sleuths at his residence in Ranchi pertaining to the same case.
