Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda .

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the Manisha murder case had shaken the entire state. He said we were demanding immediate arrest of all the culprits and justice for the victim's family. “Our demand is that the culprits should get the harshest punishment, so that in the future no criminal can think of committing such a crime,” he said.

Talking to journalists in Bahadurgarh, he said law and order had collapsed in the entire state, including Bahadurgarh. "Traders are getting threats every day here. Traders, businessmen, employees, politicians, common people and even the police are not feeling safe. It seems there is no such thing as government in the state and criminals have taken over the entire system," he stated.

After the Manisha murder case, he said, every family was worried about the safety of their sisters and daughters, because in this crime, the brutality of the culprits and also the failure of the law and order system was clearly visible. “Despite receiving the complaint, the police were negligent and did not try to find Manisha. If the police had woken up in time, the daughter's life could have been saved,” he said.

"But this did not happen, because the police administration also knows that the people who are in power in the state today have nothing to do with the safety of the public. The people in power are only concerned with their own safety, power, pleasure and event planning. They do not see the condition of the law and order situation in the state," he added.

Hooda said being a responsible Opposition; the Congress had repeatedly warned the BJP government. "From the road to the assembly, the issue of the poor law and order situation in the state has been raised. Even the central government itself has warned the BJP government of the state. By releasing the Social Progress Index, the Center has said that Haryana is the most unsafe state in the country," he noted.

The former Chief Minister said there had been a record increase in crimes against women in the state. "Every day in Haryana, 4 to 5 people are murdered, 5 to 6 women are raped and a dozen kidnappings take place. NCRB figures reveal this every time, but the government ignores them and continues to sleep intoxicated with power. This attitude of the government is proving to be a threat to the life and property of the common people," he pointed out.
