In a significant expansion, IndiGo has introduced additional services on the Kolkata-Bangkok route, operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays starting November 24, boosting the airline’s weekly Bangkok service to 11 flights.
This development aims to cater to rising demand in the region, the airline stated.
Additionally, direct flights between Guwahati and Dimapur, along with the resumption of services between Guwahati and Ahmedabad, will operate daily from December 10.
Further extending its network, IndiGo launched maiden direct flights between Agartala and Dibrugarh on October 29, operating thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, according to the airline's official statement.
“These operations aim to strengthen domestic connectivity while providing business and leisure travellers with more options to explore destinations across East and Northeast India, thus improving regional accessibility this winter,” read the statement.
Expressing satisfaction over the latest developments, Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, noted, “We are pleased to announce these multiple new routes as a part of our ongoing winter schedule.
There’s a surge in demand, and these flights will further strengthen regional connectivity, facilitating economic growth, tourism, and cultural exchange.”
