Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who was detained by Punjab Police, is back at the Khanauri border. After being released from DMC Hospital in Ludhiana on Friday evening, Dallewal made his way to the protest site and resumed his fast unto death.

At the protest site, farmer leader Sukhjit Singh Hardo Jhande is already on a death fast.

Following his release, Dallewal claimed that he had been kept under house arrest during his detention. "I was taken from Khanauri at night and sent to the DMC Hospital. My phone was taken away, and other patients were also not allowed to use their phones. It was the hard work and unity of farmers that helped secure my release," he said.

Dallewal also accused the Punjab Police of trying to force him to take medical tests and medications during his detention. "Even in the hospital, I refused to eat anything after announcing my indefinite fast," he added.

Meanwhile, farmers have given the central government five days to address their demands. If their concerns are not addressed, they plan to march to Delhi on December 6.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that Dallewal's release led to the decision to postpone the planned protest outside Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's residence. However, farmers remain committed to continuing their agitation.
