Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, a pilgrimage site of immense significance for Sikhs, was severely flooded after large volumes of water were released into Ravi river from Pakistan. Disturbing visuals have appeared, which show parts of the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara complex submerged in floodwaters.

 

Inside the Darbar Sahib, four steps of the main staircase are submerged and the water level is constantly rising, triggering fears that the situation might get worse.

 

The ‘mazaar’ located outside Darbar Sahib is said to be completely submerged, and so is the ‘samadh’ on the ground floor of the shrine.
