Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader K Chandrasekhar Rao was hospitalised for a routine check-up of his health and there is no serious health issue, his son and BRS Working President KT Rama Rao said on Friday.
The doctors have ordered the ex-chief minister to spend a couple of days in hospital as a precaution to keep an eye on his blood sugar and low sodium levels, Rao added.
"No serious health issues at all. All his vitals are normal. I thank all those who have been asking about his health," he wrote in a post on 'X'.
Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and other leaders prayed for Rao's early recovery. KCR, 71, was admitted to a private super-speciality hospital here on Thursday with high blood sugar and low sodium.
The BRS leader was suggested admission after he came to hospital complaining of general weakness, Yashoda Hospitals stated in a statement on Thursday. His condition is stable, it added. Rao was closely monitored and medication was initiated to manage diabetes and to raise the sodium levels, it added.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday inquired about KCR's health and enquired about the treatment being provided to him and wished him a quick recovery.
