The doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham are set to open on Friday; security forces have been deployed for the safety and security of devotees. People from across India and abroad have already begun arriving in large numbers, filling Kedarghati with devotion and anticipation.
Kedarnath, one of the four sacred sites of the Char Dham Yatra, is fully prepared to receive pilgrims, with the district administration ensuring comprehensive arrangements.
As per directions from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, special focus has been placed on security, traffic management, sanitation, and healthcare. The police, disaster response teams, and medical personnel have been deployed in and around the shrine.
According to Temple chief priest Jagadguru Rawal Bhima Shankar Ling Shivacharya, the temple gates will officially open at 7:00 am following a series of traditional rituals, including offerings in the presence of military personnel. The ceremony will commence with the opening of the temple’s outer gates.
The temple has been decorated with 108 quintals of flowers, arranged by the Pushp Samitis of Rishikesh and Gujarat, drawing large crowds eager to witness the stunning floral display.
The Panchmukhi Chal Vigraha Utsav Doli of Baba Kedarnath will arrive at the temple this evening. The local community—priests, traders, and residents—have expressed joy and excitement as the Yatra season brings both economic revival and spiritual fulfillment. With chants of “Har Har Mahadev” resonating through the valley, Kedarnath stands ready to welcome pilgrims for another sacred journey.
