A video of a man from Madhya Pradesh celebrating his Mahindra Thar Roxx purchase by firing rifle shots into the air has gone viral, sparking widespread criticism and concerns over public safety.
The incident occurred on November 18 in front of a Mahindra showroom, where the man, accompanied by a relative, stood inside the decorated car and fired celebratory shots.
The moment was captured in a video shared on Instagram by Yashpal Singh Panwar. The caption, translated from Hindi, read: “Many congratulations to Mama Saheb Hokam on buying a new Thar ROXX.”
The video gained further attention when off-roading enthusiast Rattan Dhillon reposted it on X (formerly Twitter), calling out the showroom staff for allowing such a dangerous stunt.
"How could the Mahindra showroom manager allow this to happen while the staff just stood by and watched? Strict action should be taken, or this might soon become a trend," Dhillon wrote, tagging Madhya Pradesh Police.
The post ignited backlash on social media, with many users urging authorities to take action against the man. The incident highlights concerns over public safety and the role of accountability in celebratory displays, particularly in such high-profile cases.
This viral video has become a hot topic in Madhya Pradesh news, emphasising the need for stricter regulations to prevent such reckless acts.
