A massive fire erupted at a paint-making chemical factory in Govindpura, Madhya Pradesh, on Saturday, causing widespread panic in the area.
The fire broke out behind the Tata Mahindra showroom on JK Road, sending thick black smoke into the sky, which was visible from several kilometers away. Firefighters were immediately deployed to the scene to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been triggered by a short circuit. The flames, reaching up to 20 feet high, rapidly spread across the factory premises, intensifying the situation.
The crisis escalated further when a large cylinder inside the factory exploded, amplifying the fire’s intensity and creating additional hazards. The explosion sent shockwaves through the surrounding area, forcing nearby businesses to shut down as a safety measure.
The industrial area, which houses multiple vehicle showrooms, was particularly affected.
