Veteran actress Meenakshi Seshadri will perform at the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra on December 11, officials announced on Friday.
Seshadri, a popular actress from the past, also shared a video announcing her participation. She and her team will perform a play about Draupadi, based on the Mahabharata, on December 11.
The cultural programmes for the event, which will take place from December 5 to 11 at the Brahmasarovar Purushottampura Bagh in Kurukshetra, have been confirmed.
The festival, running from November 28 to December 15, has partnered with Tanzania and Odisha for this year’s event.
As part of the celebrations, well-known figures from the film industry have been invited to perform. On December 5, performers from Tanzania and Haryana will present a dance show on the main stage.
On December 7, actor Ashutosh Rana and his team will perform the play 'Hamare Ram'. On December 8, artists from the North Zone Cultural Centre will perform, and on December 9, artist Manisha will hold a sand art exhibition based on the Mahabharata, followed by a poetry session with Kumar Vishwas and others.
