The meteorological Centre in Srinagar has forecasted cloudy skies with a possibility of light rain or snow in higher reaches of North Kashmir and the Sonamarg-Zojila axis on April 3. The next few days are expected to remain dry till April 7.
However, on April 8, it has predicted cloudy skies with a possibility of light snow in the higher reaches of North Kashmir and Sonamarg.
From April 9 to 10, cloudy skies with light rain or snow is expected over many places in Kashmir and scattered places in the Jammu Division.
On April 11, cloudy skies with light rain or snow at isolated places are predicted in the morning, followed by improvement.
Travellers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic advisories, while farmers are encouraged to continue their farm operations.
A thunderstorm with gusty winds (30-40 km/h) is expected in a few places on April 3 in the late afternoon.

Earlier, on March 28, gusty winds with a brief rainfall spell wreaked havoc and caused substantial damage to multiple properties and infrastructure.
Reports said strong winds uprooted several trees in Srinagar, and several residential structures also suffered damage, with widespread disruptions in the power supply reported across the region.
Additionally, the string winds also caused flight disruptions, leading to the cancellation of 19 flights as winds reached speeds of up to 27 knots. The disruption led to major delays and inconvenience for passengers.
