Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who was hospitalised in Chennai since Monday (June 21, 2025), held official matters with the Chief Secretary as well as spoke about the 'Ungaludan Stalin' scheme which he earlier this month.
On the advice of doctors that he would perform official duties in hospital, the Chief Minister held official discussions with Chief Secretary N Muruganandam today [July 22]," a Tamil Nadu government official release stated.
In the course of discussion, he also inquired about the implementation of the Ungaludan Stalin scheme, the release added. As of July 22, more than 5.74 lakh petitions have been received under the scheme.
Stalin asked how many of the petitions have been addressed up till now by concerned departments. He also instructed on scheduling camps according to schedule and arranging facilities for the general public visiting such camps.

After giddiness during morning stroll, 72-year-old Chief Minister was taken to Apollo Hospitals at Greams Road here on Monday forenoon. According to a bulletin released by the hospital on Monday evening, he has been put on rest for three more days and some few other tests have been prescribed for his evaluation.
"He will continue to perform his duties in official capacity from the hospital during his stay," the hospital had stated.
Earlier in the day, Stalin had postponed his visit to Tiruppur and Coimbatore districts scheduled for July 22 and 23 respectively due to his health condition. Minister for Tamil Development, Information and Publicity MP Saminathan announced through an X post.
