Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, participated in World Tribal Day celebrations at Vanjangi Panchayat in Paderu Mandal, Alluri district, reaffirming his government’s commitment to tribal development. The coalition government, he said, is dedicated to bridging the gap between agency and plain areas through focused welfare measures.
Addressing the gathering, Naidu expressed profound respect for tribal communities, stating, "If I were to be born again, I would wish to be born as a tribal child." His remarks reflected a personal connection to the welfare of the region’s indigenous people.
On social media platform X, Naidu elaborated on the government’s goals: "The coalition government is working with the goal of developing agency areas on par with plain areas... and filling the lives of tribals with light. Explaining the measures taken in the past year for the development and welfare of agency areas... we will discuss with them the programs to be undertaken in the coming days and announce decisions today."

Responding to calls for the reinstatement of Government Order No. 3, the Chief Minister assured that the order would either be restored or replaced with a suitable alternative, promising clarity soon.
Addressing political criticism, Naidu dismissed claims that his government was neglecting tribal regions where his party did not win. He emphasised that "all tribal children were like his own" and reaffirmed his unwavering focus on the agency areas.
The event featured a grand traditional welcome by local tribal communities, including garlands and cultural rituals. Naidu also paid homage to the local deity, Shanku Devudu, seeking blessings for the welfare of the state’s people.
During the visit, the Chief Minister inspected coffee plantations, engaging with farmers on cultivation methods. He also laid foundation stones for various development projects and visited stalls displaying agricultural produce from agency areas, underscoring the government’s commitment to tribal prosperity.
