Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has introduced a new public service campaign, namely, 'Ama Shasana' (Our governance), which will attempt to connect with the public and take their suggestions on the execution of different welfare schemes. Majhi launched the programme in Lok Seva Bhawan and also started a dedicated portal for citizens' views.

Majhi informed that 'Ama Shasana' is not a new scheme but a "firm resolve" of the government to bring governance to every village. For providing a direct interface between citizens and the government, the scheme provides a toll-free helpline number (14471) and a WhatsApp number (7400221903) for immediate communication and grievance redressal. Under the programme, the Chief Minister and his ministers will do random calls to citizens to receive feedback and consolidate people-oriented schemes with an aim to improve governance in an effective and democratic way.

Immediately after the launch, Majhi made several calls, including one to a girl student. He asked her whether she and her friends had any complaints against their teachers or headmasters. "If there is any complaint, feel free to call me or the helpline number 1447. Me and my ministers will certainly try to resolve any problem the students are facing," he said to the girl.

The girl informed him that she had received a financial incentive of ₹5,000 under the Shahid Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Scheme, which was introduced in the 2024-25 academic year to reduce dropout rates among Scheduled Tribe (ST) students. The scheme provides a one-time incentive to ST students who enrol in Class 9 and Class 11. The girl said she used the money to buy books, pens, a dress, and shoes. Majhi also asked her if anyone at her school had demanded money for the financial assistance.

He also spoke with a male beneficiary of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, inquiring about the benefits he was receiving and any problems he faced at hospitals.

The Chief Minister's Office (CMO) revealed in an X post that the move is an extension of the earlier Biju Janata Dal government's 'Mo Sarkar' (My Government) programme, which too sought suggestions from the public at the village level.
